ROCKFORD - The Disney store at CherryVale Mall officially closed its doors Monday.
Word of the closing came out a few months ago, and Monday was the last day of business. In May a petition to save the store was rejected.
The CherryVale loaction is one of 98 being closed as Disney takes back control of its stores from Children's Place, whose subsidiary had been running the Disney Store chain since 2004.
Children's Place filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection back in March.
