Teenagers in Rockton go hungry to raise awareness for starving people around the world. The youth group at River Chapel Church of the Nazarene vowed to fast for 30 hours straight. The teens chose to spend the night outside in cardboard boxes to bring attention to their cause.
"We come home, we have dinner on the table or maybe we make our own dinner, but in other parts of the world they have to wait until tomorrow to have dinner and that might be the only meal for the day," says Clairanne Porter who participated in the 30 Hour Famine. The group also collected canned goods to donate to the Rockton Food Pantry.
