Multi-Media Journalist/Anchor

Rebecca started her career at WREX in January 2006 as the producer of 13 News Weekend.  She moved up working as a producer on 13 News at Noon, 5 and 13 News Today.  She is now one of our multi-media journalists.

Rebecca graduated from University of Illinois with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. She then interned for the President of MSNBC before coming to WREX.

"I love everything about the news from keeping up to date about what's going on in the community to being the first to tell someone the latest information," said Rebecca.

When she's not at work, Rebecca loves to be active.  She rides her family's horse, hikes, skis, bikes and roller blades.

Rebecca is originally from Woodstock, Illinois.

Little Known Facts about Rebecca

  • I've been on the Bozo Show three times. I even got to dance with Cookie the Clown.
  • When I was 7 years old I got to anchor a fake newscast at the Children's Museum in Chicago and my mom still has the tape.
  • I ran the Chicago Marathon.
