ROCKFORD (WREX) - Aldermen vote on a new job for Rockford's Assistant City Administrator next week.
Julia Valdez was nominated to become the new Human Resources Director. Mayor Larry Morrissey says Valdez has a background in H.R. and will do well in the position.
City council members have to approve the change. They'll vote next week.
Aldermen did not vote on funding for downtown advocacy group The Element. It goes back to committee for consideration next week.
