Two teens arrested in Belvidere drive-by shooting

BELVIDERE (WREX) - Police have arrested two men accused of firing shots at a home in Belvidere.

Daniel Ambriz, 19, is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a street gang member.

Osmare Romo, 17, is charged with aggravated unlawful use of weapons.

Police say they fired shots from their car at a home in the 500 block of Starr Street on Monday, June 28. Officers found a loaded gun in the car shortly after the shooting.

Both men are being held in the Boone County Jail without bond.

Ambriz served time last year after he was busted for violating a probation order to stay away from gang members on 12 separate occasions.
