BELVIDERE (WREX) - A Belvidere company gives an update on a bid it put in for a multi-million dollar military contract.
Infrastructure Defense Technologies was not awarded the 4 year, more than $400 million deal last year.
It filed a complaint with the Government Accountability Office in September, and another one recently to try to get it.
"All we want to do is provide the military with the best protective barriers, that's our product and we want to do it here in Belvidere with local labor, local workers," Tom Carlton, Infrastructure Defense Technologies Co-Owner, said.
With the contract, Carlton says his company would have to hire 250 more employees. That doesn't count people other area companies could have to hire.
