ROCKFORD (WREX) - The Japanese and Thai ambassadors to the United States spoke at Rockford College today about the global economy.
Congressman Don Manzullo invited them here and joined them this morning to talk about U.S. trade relations with countries in Asia. Both sides say talks like this are an important step to make progress.
"It's a great opportunity for us to meet people, and also communicate," said Ichiro Fujisaki, Japanese Ambassador to the United States.
"Coming here from Thailand, and from that part of Asia Pacific, we hope not just to introduce Thailand to the people around here, but also our future," added Thai Ambassador to the U.S. Don Pramudwinai.
