NIU dedicates building to longtime former president

DEKALB (WREX) - An old building gets a new image at Northern Illinois University.

Today the school dedicated the former Faraday Hall West building to a longtime university president. Now it's the John E. La Tourette Hall. La Tourette served as NIU's president from 1986 to 2000, but shares the credit for his success.

"I had a wonderful team working with me, so the accomplishments that we made over 21 years were not just my efforts, but the efforts of many, many people," he said.
