Arrest makes mother who lost son in Alaska happy

Associated Press - January 16, 2010 5:04 PM ET

SITKA, Alaska (AP) - The arrest in Illinois of 45-year-old Jane Limm was welcome news to a California woman whose son disappeared from Sitka, Alaska, in 1988.

For 20 years, Reta Coville had no idea what happened to her son Scott, who moved to Sitka in 1987 to work in commercial fishing and disappeared about a year later.

Limm married Scott Coville in Sitka in October 1987. Now she is charged with killing her former husband and disposing of the body.

Reta Coville told the Sitka Sentinel by telephone from her California home that Limm's arrest on Wednesday is like a miracle to her.
