
Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Tuesday that defenseman Jonathan Carlsson has been reassigned by the Blackhawks from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) to the Rockford IceHogs (AHL).
Carlsson began the 2009-10 season with Rockford and skated in six games with the IceHogs. The 21-year old defenseman did not register a point in his first stint in the AHL and had six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus rating.
With Toledo, the Uppsala, Sweden native has four points in 10 games. Carlsson has recorded a pair of two point games with the Walleye, both against the Kalamazoo Wings.
Chicago's sixth-round draft pick (#162 overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Carlsson spent his first two professional seasons in the Swedish Elite League. Last season he played in 55 games with Byrnas IF Gavle.
