(ROCKFORD) - Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, a tradition for a lot of people on this day is going to the movies.
The weather didn't stop people from coming. Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr., and It's Complicated with Meryl Streep and Alec Baldwin both came out today. No matter what people saw, they all had different reasons for going to the movies.
"I'm just here seeing Princess and the frog with my family," one person said.
Another movie-goer said, "these two said, 'Get Up!' We're going to see a movie!"
"We just wanted to go out and see a movie. We see them every year. It's tradition."
"We played a bunch of games, ate a lot of food and decided to come see 'The Blindside,'" others said.
