ROCKFORD (WREX) - A man who wants to be the next U.S. Senator from Illinois makes a campaign stop in Rockford.
Dr. Robert Marshall is a democrat hoping to win the seat held by Roland Burris. He supports health care reform, and a public option.
Marshall's big issue is "cap and trade", which he opposes. Because in his words, "This'll increase taxes; fuel taxes to farmers and truckers greatly. It'll drive a lot of people out of business. I 'm the only candidate who's opposed to that legislation."
Marshall faces democrats Alexi Giannoulias, Jacob Meister, David Hoffman, Corey Dabney, Cheryle Jackson, and Willie Boyd Jr. in the February primary.
