ROCKFORD (WREX) - A familiar team returns to Rockford to headline Airfest. The Thunderbirds will join other military acts like the Leap Frog Parachute team and the Army's Golden Knights Parachuters. The Chicago Rockford International Airport announced the line up today. Airfest will be July 31st and August 1st. The big acts aren't cheap but Airport Commissioner Brian Boyer says they want to keep the show affordable. "The cost is high, generally $400,000-$500,000, that's the cost. Out goal here is to break even, its not a profit motive for us."
You can get tickets from now until Wednesday for just $4 for adults and $3 for kids. Also, the Navy's Blue Angles have already signed on to perform at Airfest 2011.
