CHICAGO (AP) - Parents seeking medical advice from pediatricians have a new online source.
The American Academy of Pediatrics has launched a new Web site called HealthyChildren.org
The site provides up-to-the-minute guidance on fitness, sports, oral health, emotional wellness and nutrition. It includes interactive content on developmental milestones, and an A-to-Z list of more than 300 health topics.
By registering with the site, parents can customize information based on their children's ages and health issues. There's also an "Ask the Pediatrician" tool allowing parents to browse a list of frequently asked questions, or pose their own questions.
A pediatrician finder on the site makes it easy to find a local academy-member pediatrician.
