
ROCKFORD (WREX) - Parents have a chance to get an early start on the enrollment process for kindergarten students in the Rockford public school district.
Parents of students who turn 5 years old by September 1, 2010, can sign their kids up at an enrollment booth outside Barnes & Noble at CherryVale Mall this weekend. The booth will be open Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Monday, December 14 through Friday, December 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Parents interested in enrolling their kids for Montessori Pre-K may also enroll at the enrollment booth inside the mall. Students must turn 4 years old by September 1, 2010, to enroll in the Pre-K program.
Parents must bring an original birth certificate and two proofs of address such as current utility bills or other mail.

The enrollment period is open until February 19, 2010.
