ROCKFORD (WREX)- A new holiday tradition starts in Rockford.
The Miracle Mile invited the public to its first annual holiday tree lighting along East State Street by Alpine Inn Sunday.
The tree will stay up and turn back on every night through the end of December. "We hope this is just the beginning of many Christmas trees here at the Miracle Mile," Tenth Ward Alderman Frank Beach said.
