
ROCKFORD (WREX) - Rockford fire crews battled the cold and the flames at a house fire early Saturday morning.
Around 2:30 a.m. a fire sparked inside the home at 3303 Wesleyan. By 3:15 a.m. the fire was under control.
An 83-year-old woman was rescued from the burning house and taken to an area hospital for treatment. The Rockford Fire Department says her injuries are life threatening.
Two firefighters also got hurt, but their injuries are minor. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
