ROCK COUNTY (WREX) - A Janesville woman was killed after losing control of her car and slamming into a parked piece of construction equipment.
Police say Reyna Portugal was heading east on old East STH 59 in Milton Township when she drifted into the left shoulder, crossed the highway, then drifted into the right shoulder and slammed into the back of a parked Caterpillar front-end loader.
Portugal died at the scene. The accident happened around 6:19 p.m. Tuesday. Police say she was wearing her seatbelt and they believe speed and wet road conditions were factors in the crash.
