MILLSTADT, Ill. (AP) -- A southern Illinois man has been sentenced to four months in federal prison for chasing a U.S. Postal service letter carrier with an ax handle.
The U.S. Attorney's office says 50-year-old Charles Worden of Millstadt will spend another four months in a halfway house after his prison term. He's also been sentenced to three years of supervised release. And he'll have to pay a $100 special assessment fee and $100 fine.
Worden pleaded guilty in August and was sentenced last week.
