WREX.com – Rockford’s News LeaderFreeport sailor dies in Kuwait

FREEPORT (WREX) - A Freeport sailor is dead while serving our country in Kuwait.
Petty Officer 2nd Class, Brian M. Patten, is 37. The Department of Defense says he died November 19th in a non-combat-related incident.
According to the Freeport Journal Standard, Patten was in a car crash.
The paper says his son, Brian Patten, Jr., graduated from Stockton High School.
