OGLE COUNTY (WREX) - The Ogle County Board passes its 2010 budget with little opposition.
The county had to make some cuts to help fill a million dollar revenue hole. The sheriff's department saw a 10% cut. It's up to Sheriff Beitel as to where to make cuts, but he says it could mean at least 8 full time and 9 part-time workers will be laid off.
Beitel says the door is still open for negotiations and the county and union could still come to some sort of agreement before the fiscal year starts December 1.
