MILWAUKEE (AP) - The deadline for the Wisconsin Film Festival is getting close. The categories are Open Reel, which is open to general submissions of any length worldwide; Wisconsin's Own, from filmmakers with Wisconsin ties; and Wisconsin's Own Student Shorts, which are films under 60 minutes by state college students or residents attending college elsewhere. Entries must be postmarked by Dec. 1. Films must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2008. The next festival is April 15 to April 18, 2010 in Madison. Last year nearly 33,000 people watched 199 films over four days.
