Belvidere Chrysler employees getting back to work

Posted: Updated:

BELVIDERE (WREX) - Belvidere's Chrysler plant gets ready to rehire more than a thousand workers.

That's how many were laid off when the plant shut down its second shift. The automaker will restart it next week. The workers will be building the 2010 Dodge Caliber.

Chrysler wanted the workers back in October, but had to push back the start date because of supplier shortages.
