CHICAGO (AP) - A holiday collection drive kicks off in Illinois for troops overseas. Gov. Pat Quinn joined Support Our Troops-Illinois and other groups to kick off the drive. Called "Illinois Has Not Forgotten," the collection drive is looking for nonperishable food and personal care products to send in holiday packages to troops overseas. Some of the sought-after products are cans of soups, pasta, and tubes of lotion and tooth paste. Items are being collected at First Bank sites throughout the state. Donations can be dropped off through Dec. 4.
