WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WREX) - A number of Winnebago County residents say they've smelled something bad in the air in recent weeks.
Winnebago County Board member Paul Gorski says he has received a number of complaints about foul odors in District Five, which includes the areas just outside two landfills.
"Some residents are reporting that the odors are so strong that even with their windows closed the odors are permeating their homes. Most residents are reporting the odors smell like garbage, sewer gas, or rotten eggs," said Gorski.
The residents who have smelled the odors think they are coming from those landfills.
