CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago Public Schools chief executive Ron Huberman said today that the nation's third largest school district would take as many precautionary steps as possible to prevent swine flu.
Huberman says parents would be asked basic health questions when they call their children in sick. He said that information would be shared with the public health department.
Huberman also says principals and school nurses would receive special protocols to follow in time for classes to convene tomorrow (Monday).
He says concerned parents should reference the district's Web site at http://www.cps.edu for more information.
