We are starting off the day with some of the coldest temperatures we have seen since last season! In fact, our low temperature could drop to -5 which is colder than it was all last winter! The peak wind chill values this morning will be in the -20 to -15 range. Frostbite can occur in less than 30 minutes in that type of cold. Be sure to check on elderly, pets, and the kids in the morning.
We start the day on the cloudy side and will gradually clear for a majority of the afternoon. This evening the clouds will return and bring with them the chance for some minor accumulating snow. It will be very windy today so watch for some drifting snow, especially on the NW-SE roads. HIghs will reach into the middle teens with chills in the single digits all day.
1-3 inches of snow will fall Wednesday. Another few inches of snow will be possible Friday night into Saturday. The frigid overnight temperatures will return Wednesday night into Thursday when we could once again drop to as cold as -5°. - Greg
